National Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump Retained by Family of Robert Adams, Killed by San Bernardino Police
SAN BERNARDINO, Cal. –– Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump and co-counsel Bradley Gage have been retained by the family of 23-year-old Robert Adams. Adams was shot in the back multiple times after being confronted by undercover police officers in an unmarked car in a parking lot on Saturday. A witness alleges the police never identified themselves.
Video footage from the incident shows Adams running away from officers as they fired multiple shots at him.
Attorneys Crump and Gage issued the following statement:
“It is unbelievable that another Black family has to bury their child due to police shooting first and asking questions later. Robert appeared to be simply walking around the parking lot when officers exited their unmarked vehicle firing their weapons at him immediately. Robert never even had a chance to explain himself. We demand the San Bernardino Police Department to release all available information and body camera footage from this incident to the family and public so the family can get answers as to what happened to their loved one in his final moments.”
