Two minutes before midnight! Trumpets sound in heaven as the King prepares to leave his palace. [1Peter 4:7]. Wake-up, church! Wake- up, world! It won’t be long now! The countdown has begun. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 –  When the countdown hits Z-E-R-O everything is set in motion. Countdown to Armageddon: The Second Coming of Christ. Wars. Earthquakes. Famines. Disasters. Political unrest. Family disintegration. Economic collapse. I tell you, the world is on a collision course with the Anti-Christ, the Great Tribulation, the Battle of Armageddon, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Awake from your slumber! The countdown has begun. “TikTok!”

“At exactly 8:45 a.m. on 9/11, the countdown hit zero and time ran out. It ran out for the people working in the north tower of the World Trade Center. American Airlines Boeing 767 Flight 11 loaded with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel had done its dirty work. Then, 18 minutes after the first plane hit, a second Boeing 767—United Airlines Flight 175—hit the south tower. Not long thereafter, time ran out for those in the Pentagon. American Airlines Flight 77 circled over downtown Washington, DC. before crashing into the west side of the Pentagon military headquarters.  Followed by United Airlines Flight 93, which crashes in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgs with 37 passengers and crew of seven. As a result, over 3000 people lost their lives. Media commentators, upon learning that the terrorists had been hinting at such an attack for years, lamented, “IF ONLY WE HAD BEEN WARNED, all of this carnage could have been avoided.”

Thousands of years ago, God gave mankind a different warning: “The Flood!” Jesus used the Flood to warn his hearers of another countdown, the countdown of His Final Coming on Judgment Day. Jesus said to them, “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the Flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the Flood came and took them all away.” [Matthew 24:37-39]. They had plenty of warnings. They had 120 years to get it together while Noah built the ark, but Noah’s warning fell on deaf ears. But the appointed day came. The day when the torrential, unrelenting rain started to fall.

I tell you, the countdown has begun! [Romans 13:11-14].  The signs are everywhere. Wake-up and do it NOW! Paul declared many years ago, “Time is running out.” What are you waiting for? “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”—[Isaiah 55:6-7].

As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – said in his speech – “Beyond Vietnam” We are now faced with the fact, my friends, that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the “Fierce Urgency of NOW!” In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked, and dejected with a lost opportunity. The tide in the affairs of men does not remain at flood—it ebbs. We may cry out desperately for time to pause in her passage, but time is adamant to every plea and rushes on. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words, “Too late!” There is an invisible book of life that faithfully records our vigilance or our neglect. Omar Khayyam is right: “The moving finger writes, and having writ moves on.” We still have a choice TODAY. We must move past indecision to action. If we do not act, we shall surely be dragged down the long, dark, and shameful corridors of time…” As that noble bard of yesterday, James Russell Lowell, eloquently stated: “Once to every man and nation comes a moment to decide, in the strife of truth and Falsehood, for the good or evil side. Some great cause, God’s new Messiah offering each the gloom or blight, and the choice goes by forever ‘twixt that darkness and that light. Though the cause of evil prosper, yet ‘tis truth alone is strong. Though her portions be the scaffold, and upon the throne be wrong. Yet that scaffold sways the future, and behind the dim unknown standeth God within the shadow, keeping watch above his own.”

You have been given a warning to repent, in advance of God’s judgment to come, through this article. It is now your move! [Romans 13:11-12].

“TikTok!” The countdown has begun! Jesus is coming!
