Department of Housing:
Rosena Fountains Multi-Family Project, located at 9451 Olive Street, opened in May 2018. The City has entered into an agreement to develop a 60-unit affordable multi-family community at the southwest corner of Sierra and Ramona Avenues.
Economic Development Division:
The first tenant of Highland Village Shopping Center opened in January 2019. Other businesses, such as Raising Canes, Oggi’s Pizza & Brewing Company and Cafe Rio will open their doors throughout the year.
Human Resources Department:
The City of Fontana was named a Top Workplace for the second year in a row by the Press Enterprise based on employee survey results administered by a national research firm.
Public Works Department:
Approximately 8,000 square feet of damaged sidewalks have been repaired as part of the Sidewalk Rehabilitation Program
The annual report was released during the 2019 State of City Address on January 17, 2019. Mayor Acquanetta Warren delivered her State of the City speech to the business community focusing on all the progress taking place in Fontana.
