Proceeds Raised At Pink On Parade Impact Women Throughout The Riverside Community Battling Cancer Register Today!

(Riverside, CA) October 9, 2018 – “Through The Pink Ribbon Place, I’ve bonded with amazing women and have had the opportunity to benefit from counseling, prosthesis and support groups,” shared Jennifer Potter, Pink Ribbon Place Client.

Pink on Parade, Riverside’s breast cancer awareness walk is held annually to support the programs and services provided by The Pink Ribbon Place, Riverside Community Health Foundation’s breast cancer resource center. From breast prosthesis, wigs, bras, support groups, counseling services, to nutrition and stress management, The Pink Ribbon Place aims to improve the quality of life for those impacted by cancer before, during and after treatment.

“It is a safe and caring environment. Not only will you be helped with physical needs [prosthesis and wigs], you will also meet others who are in this journey with you, who will fight with you,” said Donna Stumpf, Pink Ribbon Place Client.

All proceeds raised at Pink on Parade will go towards the programs at The Pink Ribbon Place and throughout the Riverside community.

“Honestly, if it was not for the support of The Pink Ribbon Place, I would not have had bras last year—I walked away from the resource center feeling whole,” said Precious Taylor, Pink Ribbon Place Client.

Riverside’s breast cancer awareness walk will take place Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Ryan Bonaminio Park (5000 Tequesquite Ave., Riverside, CA 92506). There will be a 5K up Riverside’s iconic Mt. Rubidoux and a 1.8K family fun walk around Ryan Bonaminio Park. Register for the walk by visiting, pinkonparade.org/register.
