
On Sunday, September 6, 2026, at approximately 4:03 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Station, along with personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response (AMR), responded to the area of Silica Drive and First Avenue in Victorville for a vehicle that had collided with a pedestrian.
The preliminary investigation revealed a black Mercedes-Benz C-Class traveled eastbound on Silica Drive, west of First Avenue, when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway.
Moroyoqui sustained major injuries and was transported by AMR to Providence Saint Mary Medical Center for treatment and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be a factor in the collision.
The Victorville Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Silica Drive, between Second Avenue and First Avenue, remained closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene.
