SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Antony Garrett, Founder and Managing Partner of Garrett Management Group LLC, will receive a Black Rose Award at the 34th Annual Black Rose Award Celebration on Saturday, September 12, at Cal State San Bernardino.
When he heard he had been nominated for a Black Rose Award, he said, “It is an honor to be nominated for this prestigious award. Your accomplishments and public service are always better when they are recognized unexpectedly.”

Garrett founded GMG in 2013. Before that, he completed an advanced degree in Public Administration and was recruited to work for Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), then located in Americus, GA.
At HFHI, he served as Director of Special Projects and was responsible for developing, managing and executing major events involving co-founder Millard Fuller and former President Jimmy Carter.
From 1990 to 1995, he served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino. He served in this position from 1990 until 1995. He started his career in the hospitality industry in 1989, after retiring from a successful career with the United States Air Force.
Garrett joins nine other Black Rose Award winners. The Jim King Founders Award goes to the J.W. Vines Medical Society. The recipient of the Dr. Juanita Scott Humanitarian of the Year Award is Carl M. Dameron. Other Black Rose Award winners include Alisha James, Anthony Morris, Chache Wright, Dr. Keith Moses, Jonathan Beauregard,Marcelino “Mars” Serna, and Tawon Green.
