Harlem Renaissance Celebration of Black Artistry, Resilience & Joy
RIVERSIDE, CA – Empower You Edutainment invites the community to step into the rhythm of freedom as it kicks off Juneteenth month with The Joint Is Jumpin’! A Harlem Renaissance-inspired showcase celebrating Black artistry, resilience, and joy. The event takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at The Box in Riverside, California. Admission is $20.
This performance honors the legacy of Juneteenth through music, dance, and storytelling that remind us how creativity became a form of liberation. Audiences will experience the sounds of jazz, blues, and swing that once filled Harlem’s legendary clubs, music that carried the spirit of hope, defiance, and community across generations.
“The Harlem Renaissance was one of the most profound cultural movements in American history, a moment when Black artists, musicians, writers, and performers reclaimed their narrative and transformed the nation’s cultural landscape. The Joint Is Jumpin’! brings that energy to the Inland Empire, honoring that spirit while celebrating how far the community has come,” said Empower You Edutainment Executive Director Sharron Lewis-Campbell.
“Step into the rhythm, the laughter, and the legacy, because this Joint Is Jumpin’!”
