The Little Sunshine Foundation is hosting its Little Sunshine Founda-tion/Sunshine Royale Casino & Music Night, which happens every two years. This year, the fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, April 11 at the Glendora Country Club, located in the City of Glendora at 2400 Country Club Dr., 91741.
The Little Sunshine Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3), was founded by Monique Vobecky in 2018, when she was just 14 years old. Her inspira-tion for starting the foundation was simple. She believed every child de-serves a little sunshine. Especially youth from economically disadvan-taged backgrounds.Youth who lack access to opportunities that many people take for granted. Vobecky is now a Harvard graduate and will be attending medical school. The Little Sunshine Foundation, which she founded in 2018, is still her passion project.
The Little Sunshine/Sunshine Royale Casino & Music Night Fundraiser is a bi-annual signature event that brings together business leaders, com-munity stakeholders, and good people who advocate and support provid-ing opportunities for today’s youth. The evening is dedicated to expanding opportunities for children in the community while networking and having a great time. All the proceeds generated from the event will support: col-lege scholarships for graduating seniors, literacy and mentorship initia-tives, leadership development, youth enrichment programs, and sports equipment for youth sports.
Event sponsorships are available, and individual ticket prices are $125.00. An Early Bird special is being offered to those who purchase their tickets by Sunday, March 22. The Early Bird special provides auto-matic access to a bonus raffle ticket for the exclusive Early Bird Drawing.
In addition to live music, great fun playing casino-style games, and great food provided by a five-star chef, those in attendance will have an oppor-tunity to win door prizes and participate in a silent auction. Some of the silent auction items and door prizes include floor seats to the Los Angeles Clippers vs the Golden State Warriors game. The Los Angeles Clippers package includes two (2) VIP floor tickets, VIP entrance, parking, food and drinks, and access to all the Intuit Dome lounges. Those who pur-chase their tickets early with the Early Bird Special will be automatically entered in the drawing. Other door prizes and silent auction items include four (4) MVP seats to a Los Angeles Angels baseball game, an auto-graphed football from the Los Angeles Chargers, a round of golf for two (2) at the beautiful Glendora Country Club, a one-night stay at Harris Re-sort, a one-night stay at Harrah’s Casino, gift baskets, and much more.
Sponsors will be recognized through event signage, social media promo-tion, printed materials, and acknowledgments during the program. We anticipate more than 150 community and business leaders in attendance. Supporting this event will help to create a brighter future for deserving youth.
