Iconic beauty Halle Berry recently turned 55 on Aug. 14. Yes, Halle Berry is over 50, but you can’t tell by looking at her. You also can’t tell that she was diagnosed with diabetes at age 19 and it took her some time to control it. It seems that as she has gracefully aged, she has also matured, changed her diet, and learned to control her illness. Like many people living with diabetes, the superstar actress had to make some serious lifestyle changes for the good of her health.

Ms. Berry has been entertaining us for over three decades. She made her big screen debut at 25 in Spike Lee’s controversial classic, Jungle Fever. But it was her role as Angela opposite Eddie Murphy in Boomerang that catapulted her into stardom and made her a household name. The Oscar-winning actress and mom has slowed her work on the big screen, but we don’t care. She’s earned a break.

The iconic role that kicked off her stardom happened in 1992 when she played “Angela” opposite Eddie Murphy in Boomerang. We all fell in love her then and, nearly 30 years later, we still do.;

After Boomerang, we knew her talent was able to match her appearance. She showed her acting ability again in 1995 when she played Khaila Richards in Losing Isaiah.

Remember this movie? She played Josie Potenza in 1996’s The Rich Man’s Wife.

Some roles she may want to forget (us too). This may be one of the roles. “Nina” in Bulworth (1998).

Her first foray into the “super” world was as “Storm” in X-Men (2000). She reprised her role in 2003 in X2: X-Men United.

Between the two X-Men blockbusters, she ran off a string of hit films including Swordfish (2001), as a Bond girl in Die Another Day (2002), and her Oscar-winning performance in Monster’s Ball (2001).

In 2004, she was back as another comic book star when she played Catwoman.

Halle managed to play Storm two more times in X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014). We’re guessing she liked playing that role.

It’s 2020, and with over 6.5 million Instagram followers, Ms. Berry is showing no signs of slowing down! We’re looking forward to the next chapter!
