“The Fact That God Has Shown You So Much Mercy!”

“I beseech you that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.” You see, there is something sad and tragic about taking the grace of God in vain. Think of what God has done for you. Don’t let it all end in sterility, fruitlessness, and futility. For he says, ‘In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you; NOW is the time of God’s favor; NOW is the day of salvation.’ [2 Corinthians 6:1-2]. Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your heart. Understand, nobody deserves to go to Heaven. Man is a sinner and deserves to be eternally separated from God for all eternity. However, God is a loving God, God is a graceful God, and God is a merciful God, and he does not want any man to perish.

The fact that God has shown you so much Mercy, do not be like the children of Israel whom God led out of Egypt; performed miracles for them; delivered them from the Red Sea [Exodus 14:15-31]; gave them manna from heaven [Exodus 16:12-21]; gave them water to drink out from a solid rock [Exodus 17:5-6], cared for them as a father might care for his children: but yet, it ended in death,  futility, unbelief, and stubbornness [Exodus 32:9] which caused them to die in the wilderness [Numbers 14:22-35, 26:64-65, 32:11-13].

If only Israel had heeded the warning to not take the grace of God for granted. For He says, “All day long have I extended my arms to a disobedient and gainsaying people.  The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib, but My people, my people know not their God!” [Isaiah 1:3, Romans 10:20-21].  I tell you, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, [Genesis 6:3]. Therefore, I beseech you to; “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.”  [Isaiah 55:6] because if you don’t there will be serious repercussions. You shall be thrown down to Hell.  For if the miracles done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have been standing yet.  And still, I tell you that it will not go as hard as the land of Sodom on Judgment Day as with you.”

“What shall you say then? Shall you continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.” [Romans 6:1-2].

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” [Ephesians 5:15-16].

“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men, and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.” [Acts 2:37-40; Acts 17:30-31; Revelation 2:4-5].

The fact that God has shown you so much mercy, I beseech you that ye receive not the grace of God in vain!
