(Riverside, CA – July 19, 2021) – Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) was granted $25,000 in honor of a new Chick-fil-A restaurant opening in Yucaipa, California. The grant will help to provide up to 175,000 meals for grab and go site sites that serve Inland Empire children facing hunger.
The funding is provided as part of the Chick-fil-A Foundation’s $3M commitment to Feeding America to support Child Hunger programs in honor of new Chick-fil-A restaurants opening across the country.
FARSB is one of nine food banks and the only food bank in California to receive the grant funding. Chick-Fil-A Yucaipa opened on June 24, 2021.
In 2020, the regional food bank has exceeded to serve over 1.5 million Inland Empire residents, one third of which are children. FARSB provides food to over 250 nonprofit community partners who share their mission to alleviate hunger in the Inland Empire.
98% of every dollar donated will go to food programs and 100% of it will stay in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
