“Over and over, You Were Told to Repent… But You Refuse to Listen!”

By: Lou Yeboah
“Woe unto thee, Chorazin! Woe unto thee, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, in sackcloth and ashes. I tell you; it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at judgment than for you.” [Matthew 11:21-24].
“The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. [Revelation 9:1-6] Why? Because over and over, they were told to repent, but they refuse to listen.
Don’t become a statistic of the last days. There will be seven trumpets and each trumpet will signify a MORE SEVERE JUDGMENT on mankind than the last [1 Corinthians 15-52; Revelation 11:15-19]. The danger of not repenting is great. “For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? [Hebrews 2:2-3] The demand of Jesus to repent goes to all the nations. It comes to us, whoever we are and wherever we are, and lays claim on us. [Luke 24:46-47]. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; [Mark 1:15]. Repent! Repent! Repent! [Ezekiel 18:23, 30-32-33:11; 2 Peter 3:9].
Thus saith the Lord; Return to Me with all your heart, with fasting…weeping, and…mourning; and rend your hearts…. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster” [Joel 2:12-13]. Come now, and let us reason together: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. [Isaiah 1:18].
Let us believe God. Let us see His grace in His warnings concerning His wrath against sin. Let us not deny the truth but let us flee from the wrath to come. [Jeremiah 3:6; 4:4].
Haste and escape for your lives, look not behind you, escape to the mountain, lest you be consumed. For the Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [ 2 Peter 3:9].
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. [Isaiah 1:18-31].
