The department is expanding vendor pool to serve nation’s tenth most populous county
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Ca.— Suppliers and service providers looking to do business with one of the largest social service agencies in California can now view online videos to guide them through the vendor registration process, Riverside County officials announced today.
“We are strengthening and expanding business partnerships with an eye on the needs of our communities,” said Sayori Baldwin, director of the Dept. of Public Social Services (DPSS). “Strong, committed partners are essential to bringing quality services to children, families, and adults in complex and challenging circumstances.”
Riverside County is the fourth most populous county in California and the tenth most populous in the nation, with 2.5 million residents. Last year DPSS provided food, cash, health, workforce, foster/adoption, and protective services to more than one million people living in Riverside County. The department also supports natural and manmade disaster relief across the sprawling 7,300 sq. mile Riverside County area.
Baldwin said DPSS has a great need for buying, renting, purchasing, or leasing of material, equipment, supplies and services for the county’s at-risk and vulnerable populations. The educational video segments on how to register as a vendor and guidelines for doing business with DPSS can be viewed directly by clicking here or by visiting http://www.rivcodpss.org.
“The Department of Public Social Services has wonderful opportunities for businesses and providers,” said Tina Grande, director of the county’s Purchasing Department. “Riverside County is a great place to do business and we invite vendors to participate in the county’s fair and open bidding processes.”
