It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our own

Mother LORETTA DIGGINS, mother of Charnice Diggins Miller (Jason), Gregory Jackson, Janice Rachel, and Eloise Jackson (deceased), Grandmother of LaVar Freeman (Eboni), May Bush, Marquese Diggins, Justus Miller, and Elijah Miller, Great Grandmother of Micah and Mekhi Freeman, all members of New Life Christian Church.

Mother Diggins was one who loved her children, grandchildren and her family.  She was the pillar of this family and light that led them all to the Lord. 

Mother Diggins was a faithful member of New Life and she loved the Lord.  You could always find her worshipping in song on Sunday mornings even in the midst of having aches and pains; nothing stopped her from attending church service.  She loved coming to Bible Study.  She was also a member of our Golden Years Ministry (GYM).

  Mother Diggins had a youthful heart and loved to have fun.  You could always find her with her daughter Charnice at New Life’s events.  Whether it was at the gatherings in the park, Shakey’s family fun night, or even Youth skate night, she was there supporting her grandchildren and the church. 

Please join the Shepherds, Leaders, and New Life Christian Church Congregational Care Team in prayer for this bereaved family.

  Father, in the name of Jesus, we place our trust in You, our refuge and strength.  Thank You for covering Mother Diggins with Your wings of comfort and love.  We lift the Diggins family to You as they go through this journey of bereavement leaning on Your Word of truth.  We pray for peace, strength, comfort, and the blessed assurance that only You can provide.  We thank you for the life and legacy of Mother Diggins and we celebrate in the fact that she is now resting safely in Your arms.  In the glorious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.   Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
