San Gorgonio And Cajon High Students To Be Honored January 22
December was a big month for San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD), with two schools showing that competitive edge and competing for championship titles.
On Tuesday, January 22, the SBCUSD Board of Education will hold a special reception before the regular Board meeting to honor the San Gorgonio High School varsity football team and the Cajon High School mock trial team for their recent, historic wins.
The San Gorgonio High School Spartan varsity football players are the CIF Southern Section Division 9 Champions and made their first-ever play for the state championship title against Rio Linda in December 2018. Although the Spartans lost 38-35, they earned their place as 5-AA State Championship finalists and the recognition and respect of the entire San Gorgonio High family.
Cajon High School Cowboys proudly cheered the December win of the school’s Mock Trial team when it defeated the two-time defending champions from Redlands at the San Bernardino County Mock Trial finals. That’s not the end for the team. Cajon advances to the state competition in March.
