Akoma’s Get Clean in 2019 Prop 47/64 Expungement Clinics
Many in our community, on the West side of San Bernardino have expressed the need of post-conviction relief. We believe everyone deserves a second chance at a better future in spite of their low-level offense conviction history. It is this reason why Akoma has partnered with Assembly member Eloise Gomez-Reyes, Drug Policy Alliance, Starting Over, Inc., and San Bernardino County Public Defenders to host a 2-part clinic to offer participants with free post-conviction relief services. Here is the breakdown:
The Live Scan Clinic will be held Saturday, January 26
Expungement Clinic on Saturday, March 26 from 9am-1pm.
Assembly member Eloise Reyes has agreed to sponsor 50 live scans and DPA has agreed to cover the costs of the Live Scan provider. We are relying on legal and non-legal volunteers to assist with both clinics who has experience with Prop 47/64.
In addition, we will be hosting a resource fair to offer supportive assistance to those disenfranchised. Below, is the flyer, we ask that you please help spread the word!
