South Fontana Park Dedication Ceremony – Monday, October 22, 2018

Fontana, Calif.- The City of Fontana invites the public to attend the land dedication ceremony for the future South Fontana Sports Park on Monday, October 22, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at 10941 Cypress Avenue. The proposed 18-acre park will be located on Santa Ana Avenue between Cypress Avenue and Juniper Avenue.   

“The dedication ceremony allows us to officially announce that South Fontana Sports Park is coming soon. We are finalizing the design work and securing funding for the $12.5 million dollar project to break ground sometime next year,” says Public Works Manager Dan West.   

The South Fontana Sports Park will feature:

Four synthetic turf football/soccer fields

Sports lighting for nighttime play

ADA accessible playground

Concessions, storage, and restroom buildings

Walking path

Construction is projected to begin in 2019 with an estimated completion date in 2020.
