Gamma Omega Chapter’s Youth Group Excels At Youth Conference

Gamma Omega Chapter‘s Youth Group dreams came true during Eta Phi Beta Sorority’s 15th Biennial Youth Conference held in Memphis Tennessee, on July 23-27, 2018. 

The youth group had an opportunity to participate in the career advancement and self improvement workshops that were offered, as well as attend several educational museums such as, the Lorraine Hotel Civil Rights Museum and the Underground Slave Museum.   

Each conference session was an apprentice experience for the group. They engaged in new ideals and expanded their learning abilities. The highlight of the conference was the competition between the various youth groups that were in attendance. 

The youth groups had an opportunity to express themselves and utilize their skills in the talent show. They showed their creativity and design talents by preparing an exhibit, scrapbook and banner. The outreach works in the community from the youth were also presented. 

The culmination of the competition was when Gamma Omega Chapter’s Youth Group won first place in the talent show, exhibit, and scrapbook competition. The youth group won second place in the banner competition. MaRyah Clarks won First place for the Community Service Award.   

The dreams of our youth’s today must be embraced so they will empower themselves to become tomorrow future leaders.
