Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship to host CSUSB Innovative Challenge for second year
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) at Cal State San Bernardino will test the minds of the university community at the second annual CSUSB Innovation Challenge.
Teams will combine their knowledge and ideas to solve real problems during the main event on May 23, from 5:30-10 p.m., at the CSUSB Visual Arts Building patio and Room 101. The event features finalists presenting their next big business plans in pursuit of the $20,000 in prize money.
The Innovation Challenge gives CSUSB students, faculty, staff and alumni an opportunity to team up and present cutting-edge business solutions that will change the CSUSB campus, community or possibly the world. Only selected teams will be allowed to present their ideas and innovations at the main event.
Participating teams must complete, save and email an official “Intent to Compete” form to entre@csusb.edu by April 30. The form can be downloaded from the CSUSB Innovation Challenge homepage or at entre.csusb.edu/content/innovation-challenge.
All teams must include a CSUSB student and a minimum of two different colleges and/or divisions. The teams from there could consist of any CSUSB student, faculty, staff and alumni. If assistance is needed in finding team members, participants may reach out to IECE to help build a team. Teams do not have to be finalized with the submission of a completed “Intent to Compete” entry form.
Teams will be notified by May 4 if selected as a finalist for the main event. Once notified, Steve Abbott, CSUSB lecturer and entrepreneur in residence, will contact each team to get them prepped and ready for the challenge.
The main event is open to anyone wanting to witness the coyote future of innovation. Register for the main event for free at Ticketleap or iece.ticketleap.com/innovationchallenge-main/dates/May-23-2018_at_0530PM.
