“Listen, I Don’t Make This Stuff Up!”

The words that I speak, is given to me by the Holy Spirit to deliver unto you. Always first to me, and then to whomever may receive it. Listen, Jesus loves us so much so, that He will always give us a warning, and an opportunity to repent before He brings destruction.  Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to God’s Word. [Psalm 119:9].

Right now, we are hearing warnings from all sectors of our society. There are health warnings, terrorist warnings, economic warnings, weather warnings, and end-of-the-world warnings. Tell me, how come, when we hear of these warnings we take heed, but when God sends a warning, we pay no attention to it? Woe unto us! Governments issue warnings when they feel they are being threatened by invasion or aggression from other powers. We take heed! Health agencies warn of contagious diseases that could be spread unless precautions are taken. We take heed! We hear of economic warnings when certain indicators in the markets warrant caution. We take heed! I have you know, that all of these that we take heed to, is a warning from God. You best know that you know! God is saying can you hear me now! You ain’t seen nothing yet, if you don’t repent!

I tell you, our world has just about reached the limit of God’s mercy and forbearance. Man’s pride and arrogance, his greed and selfishness, his violence and brutality have reached a level which is intolerable. The end must come soon! God, of course, will not destroy this world without first warning us of the impending doom. We have been warned and are being warned! Heed the warning! Warning comes before destruction!

Noah preached to the people for 120 years, trying to warn them of what was going to happen, but none would listen. They mocked and ridiculed as he gave the warning that rain would fall to such an extent that the whole world would be flooded. They laughed and insulted as he constructed the ark which carried him and his family safely through the flood. The people would not believe Noah because it had never rained on the earth before. Therefore, the people continued the evil and violence so detestable to God.  Likewise, as our world rapidly approaches the final catastrophic events of this earth’s history, we disregard the abundant warnings and advice God has given concerning the end. Instead of believing God, we believe the scientists, who proclaim a more credible report. In this we make a fatal error! We are to take heed to the warnings of the Lord!

Just like the pilot at the helm, when he is steering the vessel, in the storm, amidst the rocks: what is he doing? “Taking heed.” He is all eye, all sensibility, all intelligence, as to the position in which he stands. And I tell you, you are to “take heed to your way.” What did God give you faculties for, but to be employed? You have the faculty for observation: employ it. You have the faculty for examination: employ it. You have the faculty for reflection: employ it. You have the power of “taking heed”: employ it. As a person alive to your danger, you are to enact the part of the pilot amidst the rocks. As you see things unfold as told in the Bible, take heed, because warning comes before destruction. Otherwise, there will be no escape from the wrath of God when we neglect our salvation by not taking heed to God’s Word.

For he said to me, “[Daughter] of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:  When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” [Ezekiel 3:7-19].

“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life!” [Deuteronomy 30:19-20]

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” [Isaiah 1:18]. Return. .O backsliding children, for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. And I will give you a shepherd [Jeremiah 3:14-15].
