Holy Week Revival

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church celebrates Holy Week with services Palm Sunday, April 5 through Easter, April 12, 2020. An exciting focal point is the three night Revival, Monday throughWednesday,7pm,featuring nationally acclaimed Pastors known for their inspiring gifts in preaching and teaching. Lecturer: Dr. Fredrick Fairley, Sr. of Berean Baptist Church, Phoenix, Arizona and Revivalist: Dr. Donte Hickman, Pastor, of Southern Baptist Church, Baltimore, Maryland. This year’s Theme: “2020 Vision: Bringing the Message and Mission of Christ Into Sharper Focus” (Mt. 28:18-20, Lk. 4:18-19, I Cor. 2:9-12). 

Discipleship Classes have been added this year preceding each Revival Worship experience at 6 pm to amplify the message and stimulate the commitment of Christian believers.

Additional highlights include the Palm Sunday musical, 4 pm, given by the Rays of Hope Combined Choirs, joined by CHARM, our Christian Arts Ministries. Maundy Thursday Communion Fellowship is to be celebrated with St Timothy Community Church, Pastor David McKenzie will bring the message at 7 pm.

Good Friday service, April 10, 6-9 pm will present several ministers preaching from scripture texts that focus on “Close Encounters on the Road to Calvary.”    Significant occurrences leading up to the Christ’s death will be illuminated. 

On Easter, April 12, 5 am, Sunrise service starts the day, Pastor LaQuetta Simmons, of Immanuel Praise Fellowship, Rancho, Cucamonga is sure to bring a soul stirring message. 

Dr. Michael Andrew Owens, Pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church will continue to proclaim the Easter story on Resurrection Sunday, preaching at 7am and 10 am. Our Music Ministry will also be fully engaged during Holy Week and we welcome the community to share in all of our events.
