NEW BREWS FOR FONTANA
Craft coffee powerhouse Klatch Coffee, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, expands its Inland Empire footprint with a new location in Fontana, Calif., opening Saturday, December 15. The store features the brand’s first-ever drive-thru, part of the award-winning roastery’s ongoing mission to provide globally sourced, gourmet brews to its customers with convenience.
ON THE HOUSE
On Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16, the first 50 customers ordering in-store at Klatch Coffee Fontana can choose between a free six-ounce cappuccino or a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for bags of whole beans, and drive-thru guests will receive a buy-one-get-one coupon for whole beans (valid December 17-January 1 at any Klatch Coffee location).
Additionally, throughout opening weekend, patrons can enter in-store to win free coffee for a year, with a winner selected on Wednesday, January 2.
ONE FOR THE ROAD
Situated just off Interstate 15, Klatch Coffee Fontana provides highway travelers an opportunity for one last caffeine fix on the journey between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The company’s world-class baristas craft popular, made-to-order selections, including: Cold Brew, which took first place at America’s Best Cold Brew Competition 2018; the Golden Bean Espresso, the only espresso to ever win four consecutive gold medals at the Golden Bean awards; and Capp on Tapp, a unique cold cappuccino made with nitrous oxide, adding natural sweetness without any additives. The menu also includes a variety of lattes, seasonally flavored coffees and café fare such as pastries, sandwiches and salads.
Klatch’s retail whole bean offerings boast an impressive selection of seasonal varieties, including the El Salvador Las Mercedes Pepinal 1 – a first-place winner at the El Salvador Cup of Excellence auction – and the Colombia Finca Guandinosa – second place winner in the Colombia Roasters United Competition. All whole bean coffees are sold by the bag in-store or through Klatch’s online subscription service.
BEYOND THE CUP
The space, designed by San Francisco-based Retail Element Consulting, showcases Klatch’s earth tone color palette and “farm-to-cup” philosophy, with photographs of the company’s global farming friends.
The brand’s signature quotation marks, symbolizing Klatch’s motto, “Where coffee is the conversation,” adorn the walls as a friendly reminder to customers to relax and connect with one another. Rustic reclaimed wooden tables and chairs against white marble countertops and subway tiles provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere and can accommodate 26 guests indoors and 18 on the patio.
