Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, Mu Xi Lambda chapter, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Eta Nu Omega chapter, will be hosting the 38th Annual Oratorical Contest at San Bernardino Valley College, 701 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Room: Business 100, Parking Lot 11, San Bernardino, California, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday March 14, 2026.
The purpose of this event, which spotlights the communication skills, self-confidence, and intelligence of local primary through secondary education students, is to further facilitate character building and educational enriching experiences for the youth in the community and undergraduate college students. The format for this year’s oratorical contest will split contestants into four groups: 1st – 5th grade; 6th – 8th grade, 9th – 12th grades, and undergraduate college. This is the inaugural year for undergraduates to compete for a scholarship. All interested applicants must complete the online application by March 1, 2026.
