Eta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Gamma Omega Chapter celebrates its new President, Myrna Torrence-Washington, for the year 2025 2026. She is a 13-year member who has served in many positions including President, Vice President, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Intake Membership Coordinator, and Assistant Intake Coordinator.
Since her induction, time has progressed rapidly. In October, we celebrated our 83rd Founders Day, observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and assisted with a food giveaway at Loveland Pantry. In November, we celebrated our 30th Western Region Conference at the Marriott Hotel in Long Beach, California. Our 19th National President Sonda Bradfield and First Vice President Juanita Jones were in attendance.
On Sunday, November 16, the final day in session, the combined chapters of the Western Region, representing Rialto, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, Nevada, came together for Sunday worship at Second Baptist Church in Long Beach, California. After a spiritually uplifting service, the group dined together at Parker’s Lighthouse on Shoreline Village Drive, overlooking the bay with a clear view of the Queen Mary. It was truly an unforgettable experience for all.
Also in November, the Gamma Omega Chapter provided gift cards to families for Thanksgiving. It has been an exciting three months.
Next on our agenda is the Christmas Toy Giveaway. This will be held on December 6, 2025, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. All Inland Empire parents with children ages 6 months to 12 years are welcome. The event will take place at the New Hope Family Life Center, located at 1505 W. Highland Ave. in the city of San Bernardino, California, 92411. This is a first come, first serve event. We hope to see you there.
