Asiya with her grandparents and sister. The grand parents are residents of Victorville Dan and Mela Gomez. Mela is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Asiya Gomez Mettler, (tiara & trophy) was a contestant in the Little Miss African American pageant recently. the pageant is for African American girls ages six to twelve. She was named, “Miss Congeniality”, in a field of nineteen girls from six to twelve. The pageant was started by former actress, Lisa Ruffin, twenty-six years ago to empower African American girls with confidence, awareness and pride. Preparing them for the leaders of tomorrow. don’t despair, those girls are ready to soar
